When doing an RV inspection, I want to make sure you have all of the Vehicle Data available, depending on the RV it can be in different locations:
- DASH
- DRIVER’S SEAT AREA
- DOOR PANEL
- HITCH BOX
- INSIDE CABINET
- STREETSIDE FRONT
What is captured?
- All vehicles
- VIN
- Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
- RVIA/Canadian Seal #
- Brand Model
- Manufacturer Name
- Location Manufacturer
- Date Of Manufacture
- State Inspection Current
- State of Inspection
- If a Motorhome:
- Chassis: Manufacturer Name/
- Chassis: Location of Manufacturer
- Chassis: Manufacture Date
Interesting tidbit of info for the VIN, look at this chart:
So take a look at the VIN on your RV or even your car, take for example this one:
The 10th Digit is the year of the vehicle, so for the above VIN: 4VZBN249XYC035958, which means this vehicle was manufactured when?
