This is 2nd part in the series of Electrical things both 120 volts AC and 12 volts DC that are checked, today is polarity and GFCI checks.

This post will be a bit more detailed and I will elaborate on things, as some of the things are LSI (Life Safety Issues).

Ok for those of you who are not familiar, there are two electrical systems in your RV:

120V AC – what you would recognize as household electric, this takes CIRCUIT BREAKERS, just like in your house.

12V DC – battery electric, like in your car/truck, these take FUSES.

Ok, checks, 15-23, we check voltage, hz and polarity is done, make sure voltage seems right, the acceptable voltage range of a nominal 120-volt receptacle at between 114 and 126 volts.   25-32 is where we check and attempt to trip the GFCI for each outlet.  Not every outlet is GFCI wire but most are that are close to water and the outside ones should be also.
